Evening All,
Apologies for my absence from the forum and almost as importantly, league rides, but Christmas events and preparation adversely impacted by stage 1 man flu have left me a broken bkooler:rolleyes:
Although I couldn't ride today It seems I am allowed to ride tomorrow so will at least get to turn the pedals. Perhaps I will see some you also trying to hide from families and cooking or clearing up?

In the meantime Merry Christmas to you all:santa:!
I hope santa brings you all cycling toys and gadgets galore^_^

billl may i thank you from the bottom of my shattered and quivering heart:thumbsup: - i wish sports personality of the year hadnt been as i would have nominated you ! you dragged me 20 miles round there like that triathelete who helped his brother across the line - you should have left me to burn at the end but i suffered a moment of madness !!

Berty. Great ride! You beat your previous time by 5 minutes. Thank you for the company and for going exactly the right speed for me to keep up. You kept me motivated as well as I'd gone into the ride thinking I'd probably not even finish it.

Hi Bill.

I did chaingang stage 5 today believing it went live today however it hasn't registered in the league. Can my time be accepted please as I don't want to do those last two miles again... anytime. ever.. never. again..

Please?

Ta Bill - Merry Christmas. :hello:

Hi Jim. What you'll need to do is wait until the stage goes live then from the league tab do a short ride so it'll show up in the league rides for me to alter and approve and I'll be able to change it to 50.46.
Merry Christmas to you too Jim.

Well done Breedon. Starting chaingang then switching to winter league:okay:
well, i was stuck on the start line of the chaingang for at least 35-40 seconds before i could move did about 2 mintues but i was well over 1 minute behind berty and i knew he was on a mission to redeem himself after the last time and from the sound of it he did, so feeling frustrated i bailed and did the winter league, im 81st at the moment now i've set a time a can add ghosts to beat it.

well done berty 5 mintues of your time :notworthy: and me:cry:
after getting tactics so wrong last time - i oiled the chain, blew up the tire and thought i would try and blast away at the beginning and keep it up until i blew up hopefully getting a bit of a lead and playing mind games - as it was Bill tucked me under his wing and really helped but i kept thinking the cloaking device you was using would wear off and you would be in front so i was panicing all the way round - its a good job the hrm has packed up as i am sure it would tell a horrible story - lets hope santa brings another one
and another thank you to admin for the work you put in

Stage 2 winter league is a toughie, immediately into the climb! All the lightweights left me for dead 14th out of 14 riders:ohmy: Took alot of effort to catch up with only 4 miles to go, sorry Kipster
No problem, happy to help out a team member ;)

LIVING THE DREAM
Yep, Merry Merry Christmas to you all.
Nightmare for me right now.
Visiting Bro In Law runs a pub and visiting future Son In Law (well potential) runs a Cocktail Bar in London.
I've been treated to all sorts of tipple this afternoon (now the dad taxi is in the garage) but 'the youngsters' (27, 30 & 40) have all gone ashore so now I'm on the Shiraz but staring at some nice Whiskey (Aberlour 61.2℅) and doing my best to be good.
