I'm not sure they'll ever get this completely right. Remember Bkool with bkool pro doesn't calculate speed from power, but the other way round. So I suspect the speed is correct - as in that's actually how fast your wheel's going round (unless it's blue). However, if the trainer applies insufficient resistance for the slope you're on (taking into account rider weight), you'll obviously go faster than you should - and you'll therefore be credited with unrealistically high watts. I suspect this is what's often happening with bkool trainers. Direct drive trainers are probably more accurate in how the resistance is applied. Also, if you think about it, we know that the tyre used on a bkool pro can make a huge difference to the speed you can generate - this variable alone is enough to mess up any attempt to even out the difference between a bkool pro and a direct drive trainer surely?

Paul, that all sounds right to my decidedly non scientific mind. It's all about the speed of the roller and therefore dependent on all the variables you mention. That said I am not sure even speeds on the flat are always accurate. The reality is that this is all absolutely fine within the confines of what are effectively closed user groups/leagues ( though some of the foibles like dead stops and differences between classic and pro units could be sorted) but it must be in all everyone's interests to see the user base expand and that is more likely if the sim embraces and evens out as best they can, trainer differences.
As an aside, bkool are using a closed Bluetooth protocol that means bkool, pro users in zwift cannot use the new IOS app! A lot of unhappy bkool pro users.

I'm still only showing 1 ride in the GC and placed 548 but should be 200 places higher. My rides are showing in the individual stages, but GC hasn't been updated for ages.

Hi guys, new to this forum. Was just wondering I'm having a big issue with my Bkool Pro thats only two months old, (Have already contacted Bkool, no respond of yet.) My issues is that the resistance against my back wheel is insane, and it's coming up as 50W and that my speed is 5km/h. I've had this incident once before the Rio 2016 track but it stopped after 30 seconds. It's now like this all the time and I can't realy bike at all. It's causing the back wheel to kind of skid.

Whats the resistance like with everything switched off?
Any grating noise?
Where did you buy it from?

Have you sent your query to 'info@bkool.com'. You have a two year warranty so they should take it back at cost.
Sounds like your stepper motor has given up the ghost however there are a few things that could cause this but unless your willing to take it apart and void your warranty you will be better off just sending it back.
Hopefully you can just send the turbo unit and keep the frame to reduce what needs shipping both in size and weight.

I've so far just contacted them on Facebook on their group because normaly just takes an hour or two for response. But will go ahead and send them an E-Mail aswell. Do you really think they'd force me to send a package from Sweden to them? Shouldn't they cover that cost anyway?

They should cover the cost but I have no personal experience of direct BKool returns but a few folk on this site are so they will probably add comments when they see this thread.

I'm pretty sure they'll send a courier to you home to collect the Unit. All you'll need to do is box it up, preferably in the original box. You might need to order a new one with them refunding the broken one, or they may just swap it out.
