Back off for a week and just do some recovery rides to keep the legs spinning.
I hate recovery rides. They are sooo boring and they literally hurt my ass.
I tried them from time to time and haven't noticed any benefit, so I prefer just to throw myself on the couch instead.

I was thinking of a recovery ride today, but this was stopped when I awoke at 2am in agony with a gastric bug - so probably had the initial effects of it during yesterday evenings ride. xx( Still, not eating or holding onto anything means that looking on the bright side if I weigh myself tomorrow I can reduce my weight on Bkool! :wahhey:

I wouldn't recommend the Bkool training plans. I have just done the first three sessions of doing the Gran Fondo Quebrantahuesos in less than 9 hours and been very disappointed. All three sessions were just different times in either zones 1 or 2. At the end of each one it hasn't felt like I've done any training.

I have queried the plan with Bkool but I haven't had a response to date

Trainerroad responded to my queries almost immediately and I am now signing up with them to do my training for Nove Colli in May

I tried the training plan when I first joined, thought the same thing.
There is apparently a lot going for going slow to go fast but before decent video and no animated rides it was a lot more than boring.

Perky, I can say that once TrainerRoad knows your FTP, the level of workouts in base training feel just about right. The last 1/3 of each workout begins to feel difficult to maintain unless you concentrate on form. If you follow the plan you will see some improvements. Base plans are 8 weeks or longer depending on intensity level (I chose the lowest level) you pick, followed by 8 week blocks of power building, then a further block peaking for an event/s I am just finishing the base phase this week.

What seems to have improved for me is, cadence range has dramatically improved, I feel aerobically fitter at present. Also my pedaling feels more efficient, i think its more feel, but it it better.

Enjoy the FTP and subsequent workouts:okay::laugh:

No idea Berty. My proper result hasn't been updated for days and it shows me having done 3 stages instead of the 4 I have done. Result shows properly in the 4 individual stages though.
