Had it less than a year ... only ever used it on the turbo. About 2000 kms? Maybe 3k Lots of grinding on the turbo so maybe it's stretched? I was hitting about 350 watts when it shot off. It's not holding the gears on the rear ring.
I know nothing about mechanics so it's off to Halfords tomorrow for some spotty teenager to help me
I think it's most likely your chain has stretched beyond the acceptable limit whorty. And its also possible that as a result of that your rear cassette is knackered too. Once the chain is too stretched it wears the cassettes teeth as it won't sit between them properly. This is often the cause of the chain jumping around. 2000+km is much more than I'd expect to get out of a chain although this is also reliant on the model of chain you use. I also find using the turbo decreases the life of chains as I don't shift as smoothly and probably more often which compounds this.
For future reference I'd strongly recommend getting a chain checking tool. Even if it's not the chain in this instance it's a very useful tool and not expensive, it's also very simple to use. It's much cheaper to replace the chain when it's beyond its limit than have to replace the cassette too.
Another possibility is that your gears need re-indexing. But I'd focus on the chain / cassette first.

If its only the cassette that's an issue just have a twiddle of the barrel adjuster on the rear mech and see if that helps (its the bot the cable enters the rear mech), jut pull out and turn. You will want to loosen it slightly if it no longer drop to the higher gear (small cog), just try a quarter turn.
Last time i tried that with my old bike i buggered the gears completely
mechanics really not my strong point so def heading to bike shop - at least I have someone to blame if I don't then catch your ghost

With the chain coming off and man handling the rear derailleur, it may just need a bit of tweeking of the barrel adjuster. Selected a gear where it is slipping and adjust the barrel 1\2 turn at a time. If you go the wrong way it'll change gear up /down, start going the other way until the gear sounds/feels good, then go through the gears to make sure you can select them all.

Definitely can see you are pushed up and forward, head far more over the front axel. Looks like a better tt position and it would be interesting to see if there is a change in your power output.
Get one of these
If it is NOT able to drop down between to chain links like this
... then your chain is ok.
Otherwise you are begining to wear the casette as well.

That is some difference and very pro!
I am sure the after pic is a little miss leading because it looks as if you don't have enough support from the saddle, as iif you are too close to the saddles front for your sit bones. How does it feel?

I've got the classic trainer so i don't suffer with the dead stops so i do get a slight
advantage, but I've got to say if it didn't get lumpy near the end you would of had me i was struggling near the end and at one point it was down to 10 seconds and i was panicking well done mate good riding 
I've got to admit im missing the goat league but im thinking of doing alp d'Huez on Sunday getting ticked off with the bingly bong emails from it.@Whorty i thought there was something wrong and did think it could of been your chain bad luck it could be your rear derailleur just needs indexing as the others have said, hope you get it sorted soon.

Yes, looking at the picture, I see what you mean, but it really didn't feel like a problem. The real problem is the damn speedsuit. I wouldn't want to wear that for more than an hour
