@Goldwolfie thanks for the tip. I'll give that a go but I'll have to be careful with who I challenge, the last thing I want is watching a whole load of riders disappearing off into the distance. Just like the real thing.

Beige riders cycle alone. It’s a long lonely winter, cycling alone, on your own, in your beige world whilst listening to beige on Spotify.. I close the curtains cos the grey spoils the beige... and the beige is bad.. roll on handicap league..

Don't worry about that too much - better to challenge faster rider and aspire to be like them, than slower riders and having nothing to challenge you. When I joined Bkool I was Mr Slow, last on every race, and I mean EVERY race. Keep at it and you'll improve :okay:

@BILL S Can you help me out and tell me where I went wrong. I recently signed up for the Chain gang league and had a go of the 5 September stages today. I read the FAQs, obviously not hard enough, and thought I'd copied the stages into my scheduled sessions correctly. After I'd opened Bsim I saw the stages, but looking back now that I've completed them, I could have sworn they appeared in the "programmed sessions" with no sign of a "Leagues" session anywhere. Bit of a shame that I don't appear on the league table but my main aim is to try to keep fit and lose weight. (plenty of the former but not much of the latter I'm afraid)
Having re-read the FAQs I tried copying the stages again but this time when I opened Bsim there was a "Leagues" session with all the stages I'd copied. I take it that had I completed these stages my results would have appeared in the Chain gang league.
Seem to remember the same thing happened last night when I tried to join Stage 5 at 7.00pm. I couldn't see any other participants so gave up after a few minutes. Can you only see others in the league if you join by the correct method?
Apologies for the ramble but I hope you get the jist.

Regards

Dave

Hi Dave. Most of us were confused at the start but you'll soon pick it up. Do as Goldwolfie, Daddy Pig and Whorty said and you won't go far wrong. Try to join the Chaingang live ride usually Thursday at 7pm and Saturday at 5pm. For those you need to join a ride that's already been started by someone else so in the BSIm you need to be searching for the person who started the ride or the name of the ride. It will usually be discussed on here before hand so you'll know what to search for. we're usually on here during the minutes before the race starts so that we can all coordinate and point out any problems or software updates etc. Its more fun doing the league rides live so try to join one. If not live then as others have said the best way is to challenge another rider from the league results on the bkool website then go to BSIM to find that ride that will show up under your league rides.
Let us know if you have any problems.

And don't start peddling until the timer hits zero, too early and you sit on the line spinning!

Yes, I've done that before. Won't be the first and won't be the last as they say! I've also kept pedalling right to the end of the warm up as well. Wonder if anyone else has done that?

Pedaling for the whole warm up is good as long as you are stopped by the end of the countdown and your speed is zero on the screen.

Also always sprint off of the line as you will have super powers for the first 10 seconds or so.
Fail to do this and you will be at the back by a good few hundred yards.
