I've had a clean out and got the BKOOL connected again. Can I jump on the back of the ride tonight?
Come and join the fun in 10 minutesI've had a clean out and got the BKOOL connected again. Can I jump on the back of the ride tonight?
What colour was the tape before Andy, i too have been tinkering with my bikes changed bar tape to black from red and changed gear ratios so now running 34/50 front and 32/11 on the rear on my outside bike.
So thinking of going out into Derbyshire sunday![]()
what was you running ? i dont get on with 50 -34 as when you change , its 3 gears to easy to get back to same cadence
i changed to 50 -36 on one 50 -38 on other
i didnt notice you spinning more than me up the needles
guess i will change to 34 before next trip - and try to learn spinning keeping heart rate down a bit !
Agreed, but grinding is more fun....Spinning as opposed to grinding, makes your heart rate higher. Spinning saves the leg from fatigue.. climbing steep hills is more efficient to spin but if you've got enough strength then a slightly lower cadence is quicker. Given you're a lightweight Lee I wouldn't of thought anything more than a 32t Cass would be needed. I rode with a fellow in Ventoux, he weighs 52kg and sailed up the hills-he was by far the fastest climber.

Wait until stage 2yes it was I enjoyed that didn't think downhill could be so bloody hard
Thanks, did you wait for me uphill?Well done LB. Nothing much I could do to keep with you on the downhill.
And Carl, you had a good carrot there. I was watching you pulling in my ghost and passing. How big a lead did it have when the downhill started?
I wasn't strong going up the hill and was easily dropped by @Insomina and @rob01792 but I managed to get it back by spinning like crazy on the descent. I was trying to hold 300+ watts on the way downThat was not fun tonight. It's the quickest I've done that one, but by dog the first 5 or 6k. I just missed steve's ghost, by about 8 seconds, after being about 2.30 down over the last hill.
I like doing the downhill sessions - they are great spin classesyes it was I enjoyed that didn't think downhill could be so bloody hard
I think you (it) was about 45 seconds up on me. I remembered that your ave watts on that ride was about 250 so if I pushed on I knew I had a chance. Had the carrot not been there I may have free wheeled a bit, but I pushed the whole way. No way was I going to catch you though tonight - far too strongWell done LB. Nothing much I could do to keep with you on the downhill.
