Zwift will give you your place within the category you race- see my screenshot above. It is the zwiftpower site that draws data from your Strava feed and then applies the watts/k criteria. So given concerns raised here we could, for our purposes, just rely on the race outcome from Zwift.
Won't those likely to go to the dark side all be racing B anyway?
My wbr race Monday I wasn't dq'd but promoted straight to B. Instead of winning C I came 8th in B. The guy I sprinted and beat on the line was also pushed to B. The guy who came 3rd and only a few metres behind was given the win. All good fun though!

The Zwift Racers FB page is worth a read. I thought @Brusgaard took racing seriously....... The guys are fanatics  They did raise a good point the other day though, and that is once you are in a Cat then you should stay in that cat for all races. And if some style of races don't suit you either avoid them or MTFU and try harder ^_^

This is why whilst I have the Pro I'll ride in B going forward. If I replace the Pro I'll see if that has an impact on my power and make a call at that time.

Re tactics on that course, once our group was dropped everyone seemed to want to try and get away on the 5%incline before you turn left into the volcano. Same place each time. Made no sense given there were no real lightweights. I jumped away 3 times after you exit volcano on the down slope and into the flat. Got 3-5 secs each time but then had to slow because no one would come with me. It was really frustrating. If someone had come with me we might have bridged to the lead group. Or died trying.

Me, Monte, Jeff, dean and lee. Paul was busy setting a new ftp even though he didn't feel great( well done Paul) and Whorty was racing down hill somewhere
So, 5 but could have been 7 or even 8 if Lars had raced rather than watched. I thought Andy was there too but I was mistaken
Don't mock that downhill, it was hard work :B)

rob was on bkool last night too and he'll likely be on zwift more too going forward I think.

Interesting to compare and contrast. Shane Watson 23rd in A and identical weight, watts and almost identical average w/k but 4 min faster. Drafting in a faster group perhaps so a significantly faster time for the same effort.

I've got an appointment with the bkool turbo doctor today at 16:00. Hope something gets sorted. Having no turbo is forcing me to stay out in the real world, and putting my reputation as a fair weather cyclist at risk :cold:

I was coming straight from Thursdays live Bkool race, so that would probably have been pushing it .

I had hoped my new setup would have straighten things up in BSim, but it looks like nothing has changed. I must admit I find it hard to se how I could enjoy the October league. My main problem is uphill, but kind of downhill too, since there does not seem to be much I can do about blue numbers on anything less than -7%. The effort required for that was downright silly at 800 real watts, and that should be held for a extended period if it should register in BSim.

I don't think the blue numbers are a problem, they are just showing you that momentum and /or gravity are adding some extra speed on top of what you are pedalling. Same as real world when you freewheel. Same effect in Zwift just that it doesn't show as blue so in Zwift you can't see so obviously.

It was the silly high blues on the uphills that were a problem but I think these have gone now.
