LIVING THE DREAM
Well, I'm currently stuck in A&E after a huge sciatic pain attack. They are still wondering what to do with me. No painkillers or gas and air worked so they pumped me with morphine.
Lets just say that i didn't take to it too well as I had a bit of a reaction and was awoken in resus! Mummy pig pretty shaken up as she said I was turning blue!

WTF DP!!!!

Not a lot we can do but keep our fingers crossed.
First Randy, then Bill the are man and now your good self.
Easy to laugh and joke but resus is not a good place to end up in let alone AnE.

I hope it goes a little better from here on in.

Al the best and stop putting the fear of God up HID!

I hope you're not intending to use this as an excuse not to ride the Chaingang on Thursday DP?!

Seriously though, hope you get well soon - sounds pretty awful. Let us know how you get on.....

To be fair, as far as excuses go I don't think even @bobinski can top that one!

Get well soon mate, really scary stuff. Hope the missus is ok too.

Thanks everyone! Already feeling a lot better this morning. I've got some liquid morphine to ease the pain but I'm gutted as I can't drink beer with It! At least i get a few days off work which is a bonus!

Glad you are on the mend DP and hope you make a full recovery.
I think there is one common denominator here and that is cycling.
It should come with a government health warning the same as cigarette packets.
I think we need to balance this up somewhat so could someone on here post how healthy they are............................ ...:::::: anyone!!!

I think turboing can be even more lethal than cycling when it comes to getting ill. Safer from injury of course but there's definitely more scope for being flat out for longer on the turbo and I think we've all been at the point where we've collapsed on the floor after our race or ftp test. What I can't understand is that my one proper illness in my life (a few months ago) actually started after exerting myself digging in the garden, which is rather weird as it was nothing compared to the effort I put in on the turbo.
Anyway, get well soon DP. See you back on the turbo in time for the Mtn Goat stages of the Chaingang :okay:
