Getting all nostalgic now looking up all that old stuff.
I've got a small box full of gig tickets somewhere but I haven't seen it for about 10 years when I was showing our eldest as she didn't believe I was 'so cool' once.

Right @BILL S I've published the first League of 15 stages http://www.bkool.com/classification/showIndividualLeagueClassification/2756 I hope it works. Its set to start in a couple of days time for the year. if it works OK, I'll start another Group/League for the next 15 stages and finally one more Group/League for the last 15 stages to Jo'G. The stages are a little iggledy piggledy and out of sync for some reason? Does it look OK to you?

If others join, where does all that stuff get managed?

Thanks Bill

Jim

Hi Jim. If it programmed in ok it probably is ok. I've requested to join so will give it the once over when I have the access to it. Sounds like a good league to help put in the miles which is what I need these days.

One of the first live gigs I went to in Germany was Santana.
A mini bus load of us drove down/across from Detmold to Dortmund (on a Sunday I seem to remember).
On the way there all I could think was 'would actually Santana be any good watch live'.
I should not have doubted their talent, it was a fantastic gig.

I was racking my brains the other night to remember another surprise gig I went to and it came to me today, Manfred Man (can't remember if they were using Earth Band then) but they were excellent.
My worst was Dire Straits, they were dire-bolical.
Bowie in 82/83 was fantastic (Serious Moonlight Tour)

Managed to get back stage with Toyah Willcox in Herford because security thought we were roadies as we were wearing "CREW" tea shirts.
A few weeks later we saw the Cure at the same venue and they must have played an extra hour of encores (or zugabe as the Deutch say).

Infact 'the Scala' Herford was one of my favourite venues. It was a converted Cinema so not too big (but you got a good view) and as a result no Mega Bands played there but with Punk/New Wave growing in popularity in Germany (4 years behind the UK) it was the place where we watch the UK Subs, Toyah, the Cure and Psychedelic Furs to name a few.

Best big venue for me was the Westfallenhalle in Dortmund.
https://www.eventtravel.com/westfalenhalle-dortmund
It is a circular auditorium (and veldrome!) with standing space in the middle which could be accessed from many entries from the corridor full of bars, eateries and toilets so access and going to and fro for 'refreshments' was never an issue.

Lived in Yobsville for 31 years now and I have never be to Glastonbury Festival.

AAAC, Blooming Hell, that is some gig list. Your daughter should be impressed :okay: Seen most of the punk/new wave you saw and a few of the prog rock too. Best ever gig, New Order at the old Town and Country. Came on late, clearly angry and not talking to each other and played angrily for exactly 40minutes before rushing off. Their anger seemed to deep into the crowd and there was a knife fight in front of us. Surreal, like being in a strange movie but the music, sense of urgency and that was fantastic.
I am off to see Fleet Foxes at Brixton Academy (cannot bring myself to call it O2) tonight. I am expecting to see a few old bearded duffers like myself amongst the fans^_^

I'm in the group now so had a quick look at the first 15 stages. Only thing I'm wondering is why legs 2-5 are listed at the end in the 1-15. It shouldn't cause a problem but may be hard to find the rides in the Simulator. Its likely that legs 2-15 will appear at once and confuse things a bit as the sim can only show a few scheduled rides at a time. It may be necessary for us to individually go into our scheduled rides and edit the dates so they only appear when previous ones have been completed. It could be worth each of us choosing a leg or two to complete so if most of the legs have to be removed from our scheduled rides list, we'll all be able to reinstate them by challenging someone who's completed that stage. All will become apparent soon enough, but any problems will be because of the way bkool have the scheduled rides setup. We'll find a work around no doubt if there is a problem.

Assuming of course that the scheduled rides piece gets fixed. Still doesn't work for me so only reliable way to do league rides currently is to join you guys on a Thursday or Saturday. Very frustrating! Anyone else got the programmes/scheduled rides back I their SIM?

If I go back in and edit the completion dates by one less date from 15 to 1, would that reorganise the schedule properly? Ya Fink?

If you're in a number of groups and each has a few scheduled rides running concurrently then there will be too many scheduled rides for the sim to cope with so some will just not be there (usually the ones that you actually need to be there). In that case go to the scheduled sessions page and alter the dates to either reorder or delete the scheduled rides which are not required. If you set the date to yesterday then the ride will be deleted. If you change the date to some time in the future it will re-order the ride so its still there but not be taking up the space of the rides you need to see.

I think it probably would but I've never tried it. I have altered some dates before when setting up a league and ended up regretting it, but I think you'd be ok in this case with the league already published.

Yep, I do the same but this only seems to work for the 'programmed' section on BSIM (not the leagues section) and I don't see the programmed section any more. Can't see any way around this :banghead: I tried changing the dates in the scheduled rides hoping it would re-order the league rides but didn't get any joy.

It seems to work for me. Anyone else tried to remove and reorder league rides?

edit: I see what you mean Carl. They're not all editable so some are stuck where they are until their date expires.

Asked to join the lejog group.

Metalhead here, very little punk appealed to me, saw The Wall at Earls court from the side of the stage as mates brother was a roadie! Seriously awe inspiring for a spotty 17YO!

I now sport a sweatshirt saying "I may be old, but I got to see all the cool bands!"

I think it might be the Liga rides then as these are blocking my Leagues section. Might quit that league and see if I can get the BSIM working a bit better for me. :okay:
