34:32 seems a good time Keith - the best part of 3 mins quicker than me :okay:

As an aside, does anyone know if BKool have 'recalibrated' things over the past few weeks? BSIM seems to be reporting a lot less power than I was pushing when I got back on my turbo a month or so ago. I used to push a lot more watts on the inclines but now it is barely any more than on the flat.

Either that or the dodgy knees are catching up with me
What you are seeing is the change to their algorithm. It is probably closer to reality but very disheartening.

Probably for the imminent release of their new trainer, which has a power meter built in. They can't have the old Trainer faster than their new flagship:rolleyes:

But strangely, for me, it seems to have helped my climbing ability. I couldn't believe it when yesterday in WC2 I was able to follow Jacobs ghost up to the top of the hill before he left me for dead on the downhill. At the time I assumed he had been taking it easy but seeing myself in 6th position for the stage has made me wonder if its a one off superpower or has the algorithm taken me back to where I was 2 years ago?

If the hills are getting easier you must be getting younger!
It seems that both you and AAAC use ghosts in the winter cup, presumably of somebody just a little better than you to hang on to. Do you get much help in terms of draught or is it more psychological? Presumably this means you need to let your desired ghost do the stage first so you can challenge them. Thanks for helping me with your experience and wisdom, diplomatic speak for old!

Ghosts can be very useful on flat rides, but for the hilly ones the drafting effect is much less. They can of course be good for pacing and knowing how fast to ride if you've looked at the leader board to see where your usual rivals are. Yesterday I challenged the top guy just to be able to see them disappear in front of me, but as he had challenged Jacob and some other riders then their ghosts were also there and I latched onto Jacobs for what I thought would be a minute at the most but turned out to be for most of the ride. I'll soon find out if this is a temporary boost or if its an algorithm change that's helped me.

I also tend to use ghosts, usually looking for riders who have my target time. This helps my pacing, plus having someone to race/chase for me makes a big difference to my effort. Drafting is an added bonus, however drafting most ghosts is very hard as most people don't ride at the same tempo pace I look for. Give it a go though, might be help, might not be!

I can beat the “Age” number quite easily Andy. I would break both hips if I tried to spin at those speeds..
Add the two ages together and, apart from Tommy, we been the combined ages

As for those cadence number....... how the hell can anyone spin that fast?
