When I tested this it didn't come up as a league ride from favourites. So fine if you're generally challenging someone, but if you want it to be a league ride I don't think it is a solution.
As for their 'fix' I raised this with them about 6 weeks ago, and they said then they are working on it, so I wouldn't hold your breath for a quick fix

You need to just be typing in 2960 into the time adjustment box. Any other format apart from one whole number in seconds doesn't work.I’m not sure it worked. I inserted 2940+20 - it accepted but didn’t appear to alter the the time. Let’s see what happens when it’s published.
