how do we know the feking password!
Bill did post it in the forum a little before the race, but I should have made it more obvious!
how do we know the feking password!
Oops ... Ok I've set a few more things to Groups and Friends .... it's 32:32 according to my strava timings, but just check in case ... anyone know what I have to set to make the data visible if it's notI've got Times in Motion for everyone apart from @Aleman, who's profile is private.
Bill don't worry, sounds like you had the worst time out of all of us at a start. Yes it was hard to keep with you, I was embarrassed I wasn't doing my turns, but it seemed you didn't want me to, now I know why. All things considered we didn't do too bad together. Next week we'll win it, we being you!Sorry guys. So much went wrong there I don't know where to start. I had originally set up two Stouby Sejet sessions as I know of two different ways to set a password, but not having set one before I didn't know if one or both would work. The first one I started at 6:50 but then Snow and someone else joined so I knew the password hadn't worked or perhaps they came on here and read it. Anyway, had to let that session start and used my other set up session where I'd set up the password at the time of setting up the session rather than from in the sim. Then I was all flustered and confused and thought no one was joining this one as no other names were appearing below mine at the start line and I had to ride until someone else joined or the session would stop, so couldn't see who or if anyone was on the start line. Once I realised there was someone else on the course I left it but then couldn't find it to join myself as I was looking at the elapsed time on the six sessions that were running but none matched the expected time. Was saved when Paul & Geoff posted that the times were wrong but then I joined too late. Sorry @keithaitch but when I joined I couldn't see you at all but realised that you were the rider in the draft box at the top but I couldn't see the road for about 2 minutes so was struggling with the drafting.
Only good thing was I seemed to be making more watts than usual for some reason. No idea why. Sorry Keith if that made it a bit tough for you. Thanks for persevering with me anyway, and thanks @bridgy for the great tow to the end.
Hopefully this was a good learning exercise if nothing else and we will be better organised next time.
Thanks for organising Geoff ..... although I feel I may be penalised big time next weekFrom the videos I can see the results were:

It's the constant adrenaline rush as you keep seeing the message "xxx has joined the session" and you know the chase is on! Then watching the blue dots get closer and closer and hoping you have enough left in the tank to hold on. Superb funNo-one more surprised then me, with the sprint finish! I now see the attraction of the handicap chase...
Only 8 I think, as I didn't think we would have more than that for this test
Only problem I had was getting home late and a pair of extremely uncooperative legs and lungs. And Tommy...I can only assume that when you posted that it gets easier....you were referring to some time in the considerable future?
I watched @Aleman go, hoped he had a good clock, then counted to 15 slowly and hope that was about rightGood crak that, cheers for organising.
Note to self, make sure a clock with seconds is available, just had to go on the minute after start time ha ha
There's no need to defend old age Geoff...Bill did post it in the forum a little before the race, but I should have made it more obvious!
