I think i have to face it, I'm not good at long flats!

I find the the long flats hard too Keith. It sort of grinds you down if you’re not careful.

That's funny I quite like them, ahem:whistle:

Well done @peterob for your time of 1.10.06 for NCQ stage 4.......over to @JJRobinson for stage 4, and anyone else who wants to re-do a stage to try and improve their time/position overall (stage 2 maybe @BILL S ?!) before we finalise the 5 man team......
Cue the montage of me punching a hanging side of beef, running up the steps and doing sit ups with a poster of the Danes and Spaniard s on the ceiling then punching the air as I make up the 2 hours on stage 2 needed to make the team.
Oh nevermind, I am ineligible. Cue the montage of me stopping on my way to work this morning buying doughnuts.

Cheers Paul. I took a leaf out of Bill's book from Thursday and took it easy on the flat section but ramped it up on the lead up to the climb and the climb itself. Sometimes it's easier going at your own pace without worrying about catching/staying with those around you

Come on guys - plenty of time to push me off (please! ;))

....which is of course exactly how those in the team will be spending the next two and a half weeks :training:

Great effort Peter! In fact mate looking at the league you’ve been consistently strong the whole way through on the hilly and flatter stages. I’d happily ride alongside you, or cheer you on from the stands in the NC!

all the inspiration needed to ride outside at this time of year , 56 miles of North Hampshire country lanes...

I probably did a bit too much wheel hugging, or maybe just on the wrong lanes.

Just for you @kipster

Welcome to the MUC-OFF challenge! With over 4,700 participants registered in the Bkool Winter Cup league, we continue to smash the current record!

As always, we’ll be giving you a number of different sessions at different times. Find the one that works best and give it your best shot! You can take part in more than one, but only your best time will count.

This week we’ve got 5 packs of ‘Wash, Protect & Lube’ kits from MUC-OFF, who make the most innovative cleaning products around, to keep you and your gear running at full potential.

To enter the raffle is simple. Choose the time that works best for you, open the Simulator 5 minutes before to pair your trainer and sensors, go to the homepage. At the time of the event, press refresh and scroll down to the LIVE section. You'll see a session that has a yellow box with "featured" inside. Join this session. Everyone who joins during the first 10-minute warmup and finishes the session will be entered into the raffle.

Thanks for the support Tommy. I think it's pretty clear that there is a bit of an 'A team' and a 'B team' at the top of the league, with the likes of myself, Bill, Keith, JJ etc decidedly in the B team! - able to beat each other on any given day but not (yet!) at the level of those in front. But I'm sure whoever makes it into the NC team will fight for each and every point that they can get.

I feel I am slowly getting stronger. I've just tried NCQ1 again despite feeling tired after doing NCQ4 and was able to better my previous time. It's not quite 3 races in 3 hours which will be required for the NC though!
