I hope you've checked that against the WADA list of prohibited substances @TurboTommy .......I ended up bailing. I’m not in very good form. I’m going to neck a couple of day nurse and hopefully try again after lunch.

I think i have to face it, I'm not good at long flats!
I find the the long flats hard too Keith. It sort of grinds you down if you’re not careful.

Cue the montage of me punching a hanging side of beef, running up the steps and doing sit ups with a poster of the Danes and Spaniard s on the ceiling then punching the air as I make up the 2 hours on stage 2 needed to make the team.Well done @peterob for your time of 1.10.06 for NCQ stage 4.......over to @JJRobinson for stage 4, and anyone else who wants to re-do a stage to try and improve their time/position overall (stage 2 maybe @BILL S ?!) before we finalise the 5 man team......

....which is of course exactly how those in the team will be spending the next two and a half weeksCue the montage of me punching a hanging side of beef, running up the steps and doing sit ups with a poster of the Danes and Spaniard s on the ceiling
Cheers Paul. I took a leaf out of Bill's book from Thursday and took it easy on the flat section but ramped it up on the lead up to the climb and the climb itself. Sometimes it's easier going at your own pace without worrying about catching/staying with those around you
Come on guys - plenty of time to push me off (please!)
all the inspiration needed to ride outside at this time of year , 56 miles of North Hampshire country lanes...

I probably did a bit too much wheel hugging, or maybe just on the wrong lanes.
Great effort Peter! In fact mate looking at the league you’ve been consistently strong the whole way through on the hilly and flatter stages. I’d happily ride alongside you, or cheer you on from the stands in the NC!![]()
It was set to expire yesterday. If anyone wants to have another (or a first) go at any of the stages though they can let us know the time here and update Keith's spreadsheetThe NCQ league has gone.
