I suppose I should add my experience of tonights Chain Gang.
A couple of weeks I was getting encouragement and advice from a number of you after sharing my frustration at how badly I felt I was riding on Bkool, compared to being out on the road.
I changed the bike I was using on the turbo and I've had a few more rest days. On the last 3 rides I seem to have noticeably improved. A bit early to say its a real breakthrough, but tonight I only finished 16 seconds behind
@Brusgaard and around 1m 20s behind
@BILL S and
@keithaitch. 2 weeks back that would have just been impossible.
I've certainly felt a sprinkling of fairy dust but it seems to tie in with the long explanation given by
@AAAC 76C, beautifully summarised by
@CXRAndy as something like the faster you ride the faster you go.
I've certainly felt stronger, and it seems like I'm pushing harder on the flats and gentler slopes and that this seems to just compound the extra watts I'm putting out.
Certainly makes it more fun to be a bit more competitive. Just got to hope it keeps going!
