no freezes here
1 dead stop though

I even had 2 or 3 10 second (exactly) freezes during warmup! I started having them around the 3.40 release of Bsim, but at the same time I upgraded the computer for a newer and faster model. Does not happen in all races though, so I'm not sure which one is to blame. But it can be bloody annoying, like today, when riding in a group and freezing at 1.8% and then unfreezing one second before that 9.8% incline! Sure caught me in the wrong gear, and perhaps even a dead-stop?
If you want dead-stops, just try this weeks BWC stage. Plenty of them there!

Hey am I missing something? I never saw Madeleine. I saw a Kristina.

Thats why its called Not Quite Madeleine, although its quite understandable that you may have been a little distracted. ;)

Actually to be honest I named it after Col de la Madeleine, which, lets face it, is some what more of a challenge than that one.

Having said that, I wouldn't fancy having to do another ride straight after that one:whistle:

That felt hard going today. Thanks AAAC for dropping back and giving me a tow back up to Bill with 3.5 mile to go - I was starting to struggle there. Still didn't have anything left for the final 500m though

Well done Bill - that was a strong finish :okay:

Well done to you too @peterob I think you did a bit more time at the front so not surprised you had less in reserve for the final sprint. I was so weak at that point I though you'd easily beat me but the final sprint is rarely predictable.

On the kickr, in BRVR I'm having to stop for breathers every 1km and tonight only made 35 mins, and 5 km

If your cadence is dropping too low adjust the slope resistance, so that you maintain the comfort cadence. The power you see will be the same, the software will work out speed from the power. No point grinding up a hill. All that says is the gearing is wrong for the hill. That is what the slope adjust is for so you don't have to change cassette or chainring

@keithaitch Thanks for the road paint, including the reminder not to spend too much time out front ^_^
Great ride Bill, you dug in when you had to, limited your loses when they were stronger and kicked butt at the end, when if counts. If you are riding with a stronger rider, it's not wrong to let them do the majority the work, that's why you do more when we ride together, take your turn yes, but in proportion to strength

Once you've seen one you've seen them all

Family occupying all devices in the house so sneaked into my sons room and stole his gaming pc. He kicked me out after a few minutes with the words "I thought you were doing something important!"

Saw that Gabor joined you. Now this guy would normally give you a run for you money AAAC. One of the best TT'ers in the world in his age group.

Can't say that I spotted him join and you never know who is more than to or three rides back but I did notice a blue blob near the back when we were half way through.
Was that him?

My legs are very unhappy with me for doing 2 races back to back. I've decided to numb the pain with alcohol

I wish I'd done that before I'd started riding! :-D

I must say that since I stopped drinking on Friday nights I kind of enjoy the Saturday run less as I always went in feeling a bit rough and worried about how I would keep up and then finished well feeling purged of my sins.
