Thanks for the road paint! It helps.
My ghost didn't seem to be movingThanks for the road paint! It helps.
Oh it was moving..10 minutes faster than me. With speed coming from watts , for me a fat guy, the new sim seems low watts on the flats and downhill but generous on the c!imbs.My ghost didn't seem to be moving
I don't think so. There were a lot of non league riders who joined after the race started so I only saw the 3 in front and behind me.It was behind you all when I was watching, did you get down the hill quicker?
@Brusgaard and @BILL S ,
You two were very close which phrase should I memorize?

The new Sim no longer gives me the magic blue numbers and downhill in 53-11@ 73rpm only putting out 85 watts. I guess as there is no longer any advantage to the extra weight I better think about losing 25 pounds.Either are fine to me - I've watched all Outlander seasons, so I'm fluid in Scottish Gaelic… Sort of...
Where did you go? I expected to be caught by you on that first downhill section, instead of your fellow American "mkassow".
Bill and I were never closer than about 15 seconds, and I thought it would be impossible to catch Keith even as a duo, as he had gained too much time on those steeper sections.
So I just rode on and tried to keep @BILL S "enough" behind me, hoping he would not catch me on that last uphill section. Lucky for me, 3.3% was the steepest, which is manageable at my weight.![]()
There is always an advantage with weight for downhills. I literally freewheel passed lightweights pedalling like mad for those rare real world rides. Within Zwift I can pull back a 20 sec lead with 1W/Kg less effort over lighter riders.The new Sim no longer gives me the magic blue numbers and downhill in 53-11@ 73rpm only putting out 85 watts. Unfortunately it all reverses going up hill and then some
You always just stayed out of reach for me, and no matter how hard I tried I just couldn't latch onto you. I thought I got to within about 10s at one point but the effort I put in to do that only worked against me in the end. I though I might have a chance on that last hill but I was almost on empty by then so no chance. Your strategy of pulling away at the start using the downhill worked perfectly. Looking forward to getting revenge on Thursday hopefully.Either are fine to me - I've watched all Outlander seasons, so I'm fluid in Scottish Gaelic… Sort of...

Yes that long uphill at the start should give you and Keith a sizeable lead. Hopefully I can muster some power and not loose too much time.Looking forward to getting revenge on Thursday hopefully.
