I normally have my tea. Baked beans scrambled egg bacon toast or similar. I believe the most important time to eat is within the first 30 mins or so after exercise. Correct me if I'm wrong people. That doesn't mean 🍰 and chocolate and 🍺.
The goal of training is to improve your muscles and loose weight. So you don't have a large [fatty] meal after training. This is the most made mistake. So don't do a pizza. However, you need to digest some protein rich recovery food, like eggs, chicken, fish, cottage cheese etc. But not too much, else you will digest more calories than you have burned away during the exercise. And of course, enough fluids. There's pleny of information on this on the internet. After a training, I usually eat a bucket of yoghurt or cottage cheese.
The timeframe of 30 minutes is correct, as your body is still in work-out mode and will consume the food optimally to start the recovery.
