When you caught me I tried to keep up and you offered the drafting but I just couldn't keep up on any climb at all. So look out this week. Downhill baby! And with a new rear shifter cable I can now go to 11. I was limited to 12. A word of caution when I peeled off the handlebar tape there was a lot of salt crystal. I'm going to try to replace the handlebar tape every 6 months. I didn't expect it to be that bad be cause I have the fans going as soon as I get warmed up.

This is a really good point. I've had bars and shifter hoods really badly affected by salt corrosion. No idea where it comes from, it's not like i sweat buckets on a ride.

Sorry guys, no time for a monthly newsletter this month. I'm too preoccupied with the rgt investigation exercise , which is going really well. If any of us survive, the last stage in two weeks is racing telegraph and galibier then there will be a report of our findings.
Really though there is only one thing to say going in to the January league. To misquote some 1960's motown girl band "oh yeah, my @BILL S friend is back". You were missed.

You just need to update your trainer to a KICKR/NEO or other modern trainer. The old Pro (and maybe 2 and 3?) are slow to get off the line.

I can totally confirm this. Don't know which update made the change but I'm 10 seconds slower to the first 200m on the pro that on my new(ish) kickr core which I and I think @perswe and @Bored Man ? would also recommend.

I'm really sorry, @AndyMacca @berty bassett @perswe and @Barbes66 and I are tied up with the RGT exploration tomorrow and next Tuesday. We'll resurrect the handicap when we get back.

I’ve sent in a ticket to BKOOL. None of my league rides are going. You only beat me by 1:28 ... as far as you know.

At my age I’ve become invisible. I sometimes go to the grocery store just to make the doors open. It’s a quick check.

I tried stage 2 tonight, and if I’d managed to finish it you could have smashed 30 minutes off my time the way I was slogging it out. Had to bail though unfortunately.
