I don't think I've seen a more engaging or compelling short film, which I'd embed properly if I could but this seems to be the only online version:

Basically, Swedish people jump off a 10 metre diving board. That's it, and it sounds ridiculous but it's fantastic viewing.

Brilliant, I have done it and still remember the fear. It was very nearly a clean pants needed moment.

I think everyone should do it once. I did it aged around 10 or 11. Seem to remember climbing down the first time. Then up again (maybe even another day?) A minute or so sweating it. Then just stared straight forward and jumped. All good.

It was the high (3rd board) so no idea if it was 10m, think it was around 1.4Km.

I jumped off the 5 metre platform at Coventry baths once after going through the same kind of mental battle. That was enough for me - I never even climbed up to the 7.5 metre or 10 metre platforms!

I used to watch in awe as small boys and girls went up to the 10 metre level and casually dived off. Some of them were obviously trained divers because they were doing quite technical dives.

I once jumped off a cliff into a rock pool. It was probably only 3 or 4 metres but I'm a chicken so it took me 10 minutes to work up the courage. A crowd of beach goers good naturedly shouted encouragement. After I finally did it, a stranger came up to me and said "can you do it again? I'd been cheering you on, but I looked away for a moment and missed your jump"

I can still remember jumping in off the high board at Grange Over Sands open air swimming baths when I was probably about 8. Cold salt water....

It's long since derelict so no idea how high it really was. Like @Markymark says, it felt like I was jumping out of an aeroplane

Nothing sadder than a derelict pool.
