and also wretchedly plagued by injury and illness

You're right it isn't average in statistical terms but overall her career to date has been at best average. One is far more likely to read of negative events in her career or "reasons", often sounding more like excuses, from the player as to why this, that or the other has happened. I read she has had ten coaches in five years, I suggest that in itself tells a story.Currently ranked 39 in the world. I don't call that "average".

I do feel sorry for her that she has a terrible injury and health record.
With Sinner out of Roland Garros, now must surely be Djokovic's best chance to get his 25th Slam?

I think there is a media/attention bias to this. If instead of winning that slam, she had lost her last qualifier, we simply wouldn't be hearing about most of these "issues" - she'd just be another Brit-based, aspiring top-100ish player. You're right it isn't average in statistical terms but overall her career to date has been at best average. I quite like the possibility of Paul Ruud. 😉He's got the 28th seed Fonseca to play today, and if he can get past him, he would then imho have a tougher test in either Paul or Ruud.
If he gets through there into the quarters he would be likely to be up against Minaur or Rublev.
I don't know if anything has been announced before now, but I think this is Djokovic's last year.

Raducanu is in danger of actually justifying all the media attention she gets for the first time in nearly 5 years
