Dimitrov has always been a bit suspect in his ability to close out big matches. Huge amount of talent but brittle in the key moments.

And real talent. He is a bit of a throwback player, not the huge power of the modern game but places the ball around the court, great movement and most importantly he seems to play his best under pressure. I hope this is not a one off and he builds a really strong career off this platform.

It's a fair point. It is what frustrates me about the modern game, the hard courts and even clay to an extent are so similar that is has basically killed off that type of player. They are mainly just monster hitters in the top 50 now. It is easy to see a scenario where he sort of hovers around the top 100 or so because he just can't compete at the highest level throughout the rest of the year. Hope he proves me wrong though!
