Having riden a lot of Cornish hills I'd be tempted to let that slip but it's only day 1 not day 12 get the extra miles in 😁

My Son is first group out: along with 42’000 others at the Manchester Marathon Sunday. So I’m away from early tomorrow until very late Sunday supporting the prodigal sprog…
So: took the opportunity to stretch the legs this Morning before work. Very pleasant it was too 👌

Currently sitting in a waiting room - for my Wife to come out from Cataract Surgery. And rounding up the troops by WhatsApp - for a ride tomorrow: while I sit here…....
Couple of the ‘lads’ can only manage 15-20 slow miles tops - so it’s a bit of a logistical / route nightmare to keep everyone happy: as we’re not all local to each other either.
So……means I shall probably end up going out early, getting 10 or 12 miles (?) done. Then bike to the first meet point; and do whatever loop people’s arms, legs, knee’s or backs allow accordingly 🤣…..whilst getting myself to the magical 50km mark with the ride home - in order to snag another point 😁
It won’t burn many calories and I / we’ll not be creating much of a buzz on Strava I suspect - but the Weather should be superb, the company good - and the thought was to head up the Coast, which I haven’t done for some time.
Wish me luck keeping everyone happy 🤣

Yeah, I've got to admit I love seeing the photos from Yarmouth, Caister and Gorleston because that was the area my family used to holiday when I was a kid. Reminds me of some good times.

14 miles early solo miles. Inc a short photo stop here at St Michael’s, Oulton, Lowestoft:
Then onto Oulton Broad itself - which was very cool and fresh with the stiffening breeze…….
Around Lowestoft and onto the tip of the Town at Pakefield:
Then around the back roads between Lowestoft and Gorleston where I met my friend. And we cycled on to Gorleston / Gt Yarmouth. Where we crossed the newest of the 3 x River Crossings:
And then down the seafront to the Britannia Pier.
Before heading back home via a similar - but slightly different route. A few MPH slower than even my normal plod. But good company and a very pleasant ride 😁

Yes, I was aware, but thanks for the nudge.It has been achieved today.
Thanks to a motorist, cycling for most of this month was wiped out. Today was the first time out to test my legs and hips were working as they should, hence the weird qualifying ride.
