May I introduce Francis Katsu?
He is beautiful and both he and my lovely wife are doing very well. He had to come out by cesarean in the end because the placenta had started to come away from the uterus and he could have been in danger had we continued trying to induce (which wasn't getting us very far anyway). As he was 7 lbs, 15 ounces, and my wife is tiny, she was very pleased she didn't have to go through the 'natural' way. The hospital staff were amazing all round.
They both come home tomorrow. I am going to continue not to be here much for a while... this picture will explain why better than I can say in words:
Thank-you all for your messages, support and best wishes. They mean a lot.
