Bass VI has arrived.

All looks good- you nefer quite know what you're getting with turdburst until it arrives and you can eyeball the wood, but this looks fine.

Quick tune up and play, check works. Im going to put heavier stri as on it soon so haven't bothered to checked the set up.

Turns out I san still fingerpick in my strange 3 finger manner besause the outside two dont work. More quality time with it tomorrow.

After a 20 year break from playing guitar and now I have a bit more time on my hands, I’ve today bought an Applause (Ovation) acoustic guitar to ease myself back into it, the plan is if I can rekindle my enthusiasm and can still play then I’ll invest in something a bit better, I’ve always preferred acoustic to electric and back in the day I owned an Ovation Baladeer.

Here is off a photo off the rather lacklustre eBay listing, but £62 delivered was not to be sniffed at!

I’ll report back when it arrives.

Well, the Christmas gig season starts today.

Actually, tonights one is a birthday party, but the lady has asked for a couple of Christmas songs in the setlist.

Tomorrow, its the local town Xmas lights switch on ( if the lights havent been washed away by todays torrential rain!) and the uke band is playing in a lovely church as part of the celebration.

I am playing the "twiddly bits" on a solid electric uke for both gigs....
