Friday 10th

I returned the books that l had borrowed when I took the quoted photographs, earlier this morning
When I loaned them (on date in quote), l didn’t see this plaque, or stone, in the entrance foyer

Not sure it applies to ‘Cas-Lasses’ these days?!
No-one would have wanted to wash in either river in the 60s/70s!!

Looking back towards the brickworks chimney, & the bridge over the railway line (between Wakefield - KirkGate & Normanton station)

The bridge, in the background, over the railway line, between Wakefield - KirkGate & Normanton station

I knew they were due to arrive/be installed, but was told that the bench/information board/replica wagon were in place now
I had a slight detour on my way to work this morning, before any of the local scrotes decide to vandalise anything

With regard to the post of mine, directly above, concerning the ’Nagger Line’, the wrapping has now been removed from the bench

The 'Tub' isn't the same gauge (I didn't notice last week...)

From the information board
The 'Tom Puddings; were lowered into the Canal to the east of it, the line can be seen along the embankment of the River Calder
(my ride home route, at times)

Two railway related pubs (despite the 'hanging sign' on the Junction)
The station is quite close

- there are 2 'royalty related' pubs, now into now flats; (The Crown & 'The Sovereign'), that face each other
- 2 'hunting dog' pubs; 'Hark To Mopsey' & 'The Talbot' (the latter is demolished, leaving only the eponymous 'Talbot Street')

There was even a Spiritualist Church too (now gone, & a house built on the plot)
