North Yorkshire

The highest single-drop waterfall in England

Famous for the brass-band contests that were held here
Access was previously via The Green Dragon pub, now it’s through a cafe (the new owners establishment)

Some cinema-goers might recognise it as being feature in (Kevin Costners) ‘Robin Hood’
The old Victorian tea-room, now in ruins

The bandstand
Judges sat in a tent/behind a screen, so they didn’t know who was playing
(playing order was drawn at random)

We’ve been to the contest a couple of times, in either the late 90s, or the early 00s
