West Ardsley Reservoir

(situated within a 'triangle', between Wakefield, Leeds & Dewsbury)
West Yorkshire

We went for a dog walk around there, this morning
I've not been for years, the last time was when I was running

It supplies Wakefield, some of the surrounding village, & (apparantly) the big Schweppes/Coca-Cola plant near jct 41/M1)


It's fed/supplied from Booth Wood Reservoir (by the side of the M62, between jcts 22 & 23; where Stott Hall Farm is located between the separated carriageways, & Ringstone Edge Reservoir, a couple of miles north-east of Booth Wood)

The primary feed is via a treatment plant
It isn't fed via streams/rivers, as most reservoirs are (the elevation is partly an issue), but directly via a pipeline from the above named reservoirs & local aquifiers/springs

A BM on the church in Dereham High Street.

And one on the Bell Tower, St Nicholas, Dereham, on today's walk around the town.

A very clean benchmark on St Peter the Baptist church in Achurch .

Almost looks very recent
