Neal's Yard have had 22 tonnes of their premium brand cheeses stolen. Apparently, it wasn't until after it had been loaded and despatched that the fraud was noticed.

Nantwich Blue is my latest discovery. Not too strong but lovely flavour

I may try that, I think I'm heading to Nantwich next month, although my research tells me its made in Hartington in the Derby dales.

The cheese factory went a few years back. I used to go there to buy the white stilton they made .

Hartington creamery is still very much active (it did close in 2009 and reopened in 2012, by former employees, which maybe your confusion. I'm also it sure if its same site or down the road?

The Stilton PDO restrictions limited Stiltons production to the counties of Leics, Notts and Derbyshire. you can't produce Stilton in Stilton (the village in Cambridgeshire, from which it take s it name)

I always smile as I enter Melton Mowbray and see the saying saying "the home of Stilton".

There's houses on the original site. Just checked on google earth. The new place is on a farm a few miles away.

Ive just thought of another - how about cambozola? A cross between gorgonzola and camembert.

I picked up two pieces of "Abondances" on yellow sticker in Tesco yesterday.

Never had it before, but it's a mountain cheese from the Haute Savoie region. Will be interesting to see what it's like.

Most of the French alpine cheeses are lovely. Beaufort is great, and Reblechon is particularly lush.
I'm going to NZ for Christmas, and taking Stilton with me.
NZ seriously needs to have a word with itself about cheese...
