When you've not seen a cyclist for most of the day, usually on the much quieter week days on country lanes, it's nice to wave and maybe have a chat............

At weekend your hand would hurt if you waved to every cyclist..........

I tend to only say hello whenever I make eye contact. Met some very friendly riders locally, though understand if people don’t want to say hello, especially when on the rivet on a climb for example.

Main exception is when out with the club as it doesn’t take much for someone in the group to say hello so you can take turns. Always fun when a few big club groups pass each other too.
