Skin and rice pudding comes to mind!
Still a 3500kg/3.5ton towing capacity
They coped very well though
I guess most of you will have seen footage /read tales of Series Land-Rovers towing buses/wagons that might be 5 tons +?

Discoverys with the MPI engine (for the Italian market) had a towing limit of 2tons
Quite like it

Discovery 2 alloys (via adaptors/spacers)

There were a few around
I remember seeing that particular one around Mirfield a few times, as a (Land-Rover) magazine journalist who lived there had it for a while (whether owned, or on a long-term test?)

Aye, we used the original Range Rover and the P38 to shift artics off the carriageway. Sure, they'd be in low range and only moving maybe 30 or 40 feet, but they did it. Mind you, so did the Land Cruisers that replaced them.

Useless factoid - for the purposes of clearing a highway obstruction a bobby in uniform can drive any category of vehicle, regardless of whether or not they have the entitlement on their licence.

The Wombles can't.

Saw two idiot Wombles on the M1 yesterday merrily chatting away with thekr backs to the oncoming traffic, but that's for another thread I guess.

I know Frank (Elson), but haven't seen him for a few years, & remember 'PKV' his 110

Forgot!

l saw an INEOS Grenadier being used yesterday!!
It was hooked up to a tri-axle trailer (no idea what brand), loaded with a couple of the large 'round' bales, rolling inem off into a field
It certainly didn't look like a pampered vehicle, a few bumps & even filthier than my Kodiaq!

Well, Mrs D today takes delivery of her new EX40 Twin Motor Performance. 448 BHP, 670NM, AWD, as quick as a 911 Carrera while seating 5 and carrying two mutts.

It weighs in at a hefty 2.2 tonnes though, so despite being fairly compact is well and truly qualifying for this thread.

Reading the specs for Mrs D's new scoot and surprised to see it has a 45cm wading capacity. Thats almost as much as the original Defender, although its not that I'd go wading in it.

That's as much as the original XC90!
