A guy in Cornshire who claims to be the son of John DeLorean has created a 'Back to the Future' version of the eighties car by converting a Reliant Robin to somewhat resemble the gull wing monstrosity with something even more monstrous, has stuck the Delorean name on it and is offering it for sale.
Watchful copyright lawyers over the pond saw it and served him with papers for breach of copyright.

What's even funnier is he thinks he can take on the case and win.
Still, you’ve got to admire him for taking two terrible cars and coming up with one that’s even worse than either of them.

Perhaps he has been back to the future and knows the result. Seriously though, would he stand a better chance if he just ditched the DMC badge on the car? Not that I know much about copyright law.

He had me fooled. I was about to click Buy when my wife asked " have you counted all the wheels?". Phew that was close.
But if I had bought it, I would be able to go back in time* and buy a real De Lorean

* assuming I can reach exactly 88mph.

You might have to wait for a long downhill stretch or a tailwind as the reputed top speed of a 850cc Robin is 85mph.
