Just went out for a little spin to make sure everything's running smoothly. Pretty happy with the set up. Fingers crossed 50/34-11/28 is good enough to get my bandy legs around the hills...

I've still not got the replacement bearings for my wheels of choice so it looks like I'm going with 58mm deep wheels. The weight penalty probably won't make any difference but I'm not super confident how they're going to handle going downhill at speed. Could all be a bit !!

It's beautiful today in London, hope the weathers as good where all you guys are. And just really hopeful it stays good for us on Sunday.

Looks dry now, and almost as important, light winds! I think a bit of cloud cover is better than a blazing hot day for a long ride! This could be the best weather for the ride, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you all.

Working outside all this week lovely here, cycled in not wearing arm warmers or over shoes

I try to colour coordinate my bike (bottle cages, bottles, saddle bag, tyres, a bit on the saddle, bar tape all matches the celeste splashes on the bike) and I've just got a matching jersey, socks next. Sad I know but why not.

Me either which sounds odd seeing as I've just come back from 30c heat on holiday. With added jet lag I didn't get much sleep last night. Hopefully a day tidying up the garden will be enough to give me a good sleep tonight.

Andy do you have a track pump / are you bringing it with you? I need to deflate my tyres to fit them into the bike box but I think my pumps too bulky to bring along.

Lol! I have a track pump mate, and any manner of spares!
