Looks like the mess my Labrador leaves on the carpet after she's eaten something that disagrees with her.

I've eaten plenty of fast food in my time and enjoyed pretty much all of it. But I can honestly say I wouldn't touch that with a bargepole

Cheesy chips? Yup. Chilli and Chips? Yup. Cheese and Chilli and Chips? No way
Oh, I dunno.

I think I'd quite like cheesy chili chips.

Just not those cheesy chili chips

That was the staple diet when I worked at Tesco Salford.

I'm in a bit of a quandary regarding how "fast food" should be defined. My initial thinking was that it must be:

a) Available as a takeaway
b) Not cooked to order

But fish and chips is causing me a real issue. It feels like fast food, the chips meet the above criteria but the fish really should be fried to order and therefore it can't qualify

You see on the above criteria Nandos is out as it has a takeaway service but they cook your order. Conversely most MaccyDs seem to be cooking away regardless of what you specifically order so they're in....but fish and chips is throwing me out of kilter. I need to give this some thought
I wouldn't say fish and chips is fast food as it is real fish cooked in batter and real chips ,fried in oil. Mcdo, KFC and such like use process food prepared in a factory and full of chemicals to keep it fresh and long lasting. Totally different. I hope that answers your question.
I've never seen the attraction of Nando's either. And when you go to Portugal and see what real Portuguese chicken-based fast food can be like when it's good (ie, barbecued over charcoal), it's even stranger.

Having said that, I do like the bottled Nando's hot sauce you buy in shops.
Nandos is South African take on Portuguese cooking.

It hasn't travelled well, or time has soften my memory. I remember it as the best fast food in SA but won't touch it now in the UK.

We found a chippy that still used beef dripping for frying chips in and they were bloomin lovely, changed hands though and went over to some generic vegetable oil..

I currently have a surplus of venison. As a result of that surfeit I purchased an electric mincer with sausage nozzle. Last Saturday I recreated the MacDonalds burger, complete with crispy shoestring fries. Three parts Venison leg meat minced with one part chaps ( boned pigs cheeks) to up the fat content. A little salt, black pepper and a rough pressed 2.5oz patty. Griddled to perfection, served on a sesame seed burger bun, seasoned with a mixture of salt, msg and bouillon powder which was also used to season the fries. Toast the buns on the griddle, add 5 dots ketchup and a squiggle of American mustard , sliced gherkin and finely diced onion, topped with processed cheese slices, then iceberg lettuce and sainsbury burger sauce. Finally capped with the top of the bun. Fast food? Took me bloody ages, but it disappeared quickly enough!

I'm interested in playing with msg to see how it works on flavour, where did you get it from and can it be used in anything like salt?
