Big Millennium Falcon please Santa

Failing that, I might be tempted by the current Concorde

So the Discovery only arrived yesterday, not opened the box yet and today I saw an offer on the Perseverance Mars rover Technic set for £59.99 which will round off the "space shelf" nicely with the Eagle lander and Shuttle.
Offer was at Zavvi They have quite a few other kits with sizable discounts, including the Back to the Future DeLorean

I finished the Space Shuttle model a few weeks ago

I find this old cardboard packaging tray incredibly useful for organising the parts before assembly:

First part of build complete (3 bags I think). Hubble Space Telescope (the solar panels are thin plastic sheet)

Shuttle frame taking shape

"Airframe", wings and engines in place, also the spring loaded landing gear actuated by pushing the large flap under the rocket nozzles.

Building up the sides, cockpit and tail:

Cargo bay doors (placing all those silver stickers was tedious):

Completed model. There are a couple of display configurations. Here they are separate. The shuttle itself can either rest gear down, or gear up on a stand.
