BTW Why you cycle so fast in commuter traffic Lukie boy? :hello: 'Phone munching plebs dawdling across your path not paying attention aren't going to be in good shape after you roll over their toes are they?

It was on South Africa road, just by the Qpr stadium. It's a nice road which hardly ever has queues of traffic, even on match day and very few peds. the road surface is also very good, so is one of the few roads I get to really stretch my legs on.

The problem was being in the middle of the lane as i was overtaking another cyclists and then the sudden appearance of a pavement cyclists ;)

You don't need two good arms to ride a 'bent, I've learned.

mmmm fixed gear (ie only one brake) 'bent could be the way to go ;)

Luke, beware of "chaffing". It was a problem for me when I broke both of my arms, at the same time...;)

I did both wrists at the same time, luckily I was living at home at the time or I'd have been a bit stumped.

I never rode into any bricks ever again. Yet.

Nasty - busted a bone in my hand (van driver left hooked me and I did a superman impression - bike written off)

Was in a cast for a couple of weeks - managed to get on the turbo trainer though, then it was taken off. Was very weak for a while.

PS get the plaster off as quick as they will allow - the plaster draws all the moisture out of your hand, for me it was between thumb and finger - manky hand after 2 weeks, and 'turbo training' didn't help - sweat...ergh.........

I remember breaking my right wrist when I was at college. I became temporarily ambidextrous, but only for certain activities....:laugh:

Like opening beer bottles and tins of spagetti hoops I imagine?
