But no polished, apparently.
Nope. I rattle canned them with matte black BBQ paint the day after I got them, with gloss red for the "blood" trails around the top. Polish would probably have destroyed the patina.

@Accy cyclist Have you heard of Charles Tyrwhitt shirts ? They have a vast selection, plain colours and lots of colours / patterns and the beauty of them is you can select a collar size and then select which sleeve length you would prefer. I only have a couple of their shirts whereas my son who has to wear a suit, collar and tie for his work buys them four at a time as he can be sure that by selection the sizing options to best suit him they always look good.

I'm on the search for a better alternative preferably without plastic buttons but they all seem really expensive.
Harvey and H are better, but I don't think they're twice as good
To be honest we live in a society where clothing is far cheaper than it has any right to be, and even £30 for a shirt is probably on the edge of what it's possible to produce with any sort of ethical credibility. £100 - £150 per shirt, which seems to be the going rate once you leave the high street, is actually quite fair, especially when you factor in labour and sustainability.

Laces should be set French para style much more comfortable and easier to live with
I googled "French para laces" because I had no idea what it meant.
The results are very dainty, and I don't think would hold my boots together.
This is the one I use. The French para reference seems to have vanished
