Why do you want to hide your socks when wearing loafers? Loafers are meant to be worn with socks, whereas boat shoes are meant to be worn without socks. I have many socks in multi colours to wear with loafers. In fact loafers are the only shoes that show my socks off, so I choose socks for their look as much as their fit and how comfortable they will be, with loafer wearing in mind.

Purely because it seems to be the look at the moment. I'll be wearing them mostly on foreign holidays and in the summer. I'm not into the trousers at half mast thing but I think there's something pretty cool about the sockless look with loafers and a suit.

I try not to wear shoes without socks

They just get sweaty - which is what socks are for

except sandals because they are open to stop that problem

Dogtrousers

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
Solovair used to make DMs under license. Then when DM moved overseas Solovair kept manufacturing under their own brand name and in the same factory in Northamptonshire.

Thanks. So effectively Solovair are the old DMs. It's just that the DM name has left them and gone somewhere else.

I may buy a pair. I used to wear DMs all the time. I last bought a pair of DM shoes about 15 years ago and my last pair were a bit crap. I might try them again.

Basically yeah. If you want to be nerdy about it you could watch the video I posted upthread, but the long and short of it is that DM quality has gone down and they're trading off the name really. Solovair make the better quality boot.

Tempting due to the price and obviously because its still available in my 42L size.🤔 It wasn't available in suit form. They've only sold the/a jacket since its introduction about 2 years ago. I have the sand/beige and the navy suits. For some reason the below photo is the only one it'll let me send, so you'll have to look for yourself.😉

This'll most likely be why Northampton Town FC play in maroon and white!😉

It's "Claret" and White

I've tried to post both jackets in the/my basket, but posting one just cancels the other! Maybe it's a way of telling me that I have enough clothes and one, not two is more than enough. If I have ro choose I'll go with the heavier linen check jacket. I do like the pink linen one, but I've found the drawback of linen is/are the creases, which although they are supposed to add to the look, they are a bit annoying.🤔

Mmm, this one's also available in my size.🤔 Although like the pink one above, it's made from linen, it's almost twice the weight of the above pink one.

I've just ordered both jackets. No doubt to be worn in the late spring at the earliest. It was an offer I couldn't resist, having a 58 percent reduction. The power of advertising flashing up on your screen eh!😏 😉
