I like navy blazers, Roger Moore, James Bond springs to mind, but when I wear navy I always tend to end up with annoying marks and stains on the item.

appears to neither navy nor stained to be fair....

On my screen the jacket appears black, the mill label navy.

Yeah, I'd call that midnight blue rather than navy.

It is very hard to tell properly on a screen though.

Can’t find the RN’s specs on line, but the Canadians describe their Navy Blue as “a shade of black”.
The original was more what we would call Royal Blue, but it got darker with the coming of steam ships.

I can’t say I’m big fan of blazers. They often seem to be worn by pompous gentlemen at the golf or yacht club. This is based on my watching of Midsummer murders or the like and is clearly factual 😏

It's quite common now for sellers of sports jackets to call them blazers. To me, a blazer is either navy with gold or silver buttons, or striped like the ones I have which are based on boating blazers. A sports jacket is not a blazer, especially when it's made out of tweed. Yet some sellers seem to think they are!🧐

The ones I was alluding too are the ones you have described. Do you wear a peaked cap with yours.😂😂😂

Could you not get one of those pub lamdlord blazers? You know the sort, the burgundy or green jobs with some vague crest embroidered on the breast pocket.

I remember quite a few pub landlords in the 1970's/80's behind the bar of their pubs, wearing navy blue blazers with their regimental badges on their breast pockets. You just don't see that these days! The other week me and a friend drove to a country type pub. When we went in I saw a 'bar person' pulling pints while wearing a vest! Vest as in an underwear one, not a waistcoat as Americans call vests. Not only was he wearing a vest, but he also had those grey baggy sweatpants and filthy crocs on!🧐👎 My friend was ok about this, but I insisted that we leave and find another pub where the staff were appropriately dressed, which did take a while, but we eventually found one!🧐
