I bought some socks today. The three pack on the right as you look at the photo are from Elan Boutique in Clitheroe, Lancs. The ones on the left are from a charity shop around the corner from Elan Boutique. The three pack was £20, with the charity shop pair costing £1.

Seeing as you asked for my opinion, no. They are hideous.

On the other hand, we are never going to meet in the flesh so if you like them and can afford them, go for it.

Mmmm.🤔

I like black Oxford Shoes. The thing is, they say we shouldn't wear black shoes with tweed as black is formal, about town, while tweed is country, slightly casual wear. Therefore black and tweed clash. Would anyone notice or bother if I wore black formal Oxfords with my tweed suits and trousers?🤔

I have the Hilditch & Key poet fedora in black, and in dark grey. I also have the one below in 'electric blue'. I looked at the one below the other day, thinking about buying it, but they only had/have the 60cm size left, which on wearing their 60cm poet fedoras, which are slightly loose, my 59cm electric blue fedora fits perfectly, especially in windy conditions which like to take a wide brim hat off one's head!🧐 However, such a reduction makes this hat tempting! Hat sizers could be used if on buying it, the 60cm hat tends to take off in windy conditions.🤔

Have you had at the Loake web site I got an email yesterday saying their sale had started. About £100 off most of the shoes in the sale.

Black is OK with a blue tweed suit, like the rather fine one I bought on your recommendation. But that said, I reckon brogues or semi-brogues would be better than plain oxfords if worn with tweed. Plain black Oxfords are arguably the most formal style so are better with a business suit or for black tie events

I've just bought these, plus a Loake suede brush.

At that reduction I couldn't resist. Yes, I have a pair of dark brown Loake suede shoes, but I've always fancied some monkey strap shoes, especially the double strap ones.😉
