I've had exactly the opposite with my German Shepherd, we've been at a park or a music festival with Sabor on his leash and toddlers (up to about 3 yr old) have run up and thrown their arms round his neck* now I knew the dog was fine around kids as at the time we had 4 grandaughters but another dog could have reacted badly. I don't know what the kids thought he was...............giant teddy bear?...............but Sabor would have had one of his bandanas round his neck so maybe. Once the parents heart rate had come down I'd explain to them that maybe it wasn't a good idea to let their young children do this, other dogs may well react differently but my lad had been socialised very well.

And if anything happens it would obviously be the dog's fault and not the parents..

To be honest I don't use public transport much but when I do I much prefer well behaved pets to feral scum who put their feet on the seats and play tik tok videos and voice notes on loud speaker.

I have been on buses where a passenger has sat his dog on the seat next to him. Folk don't seem to mind, unless they do but don't want to say anything in case it causes trouble. Dogs do tend to dribble out of their dangley bits etc, so it's not very nice, but as you say, some types put their feet up on bus seats. What they have on the bottom of their shoes we don't know, but it isn't just unhygienic, it's,also very disrespectful, which in some countries could land you in serious trouble, so I've read!

My point exactly and this wasn't an isolated incident it happened more times than I can remember and most of the time when we were stood or sat still, often in out of the way places i.e. not on a pathway used by people but off to the side.
He was an exceptional dog but I'd like to think it was how I'd brought him up, taking him to pubs and on buses/trains from as soon as his innocculations were effective and he could go out. Mind you there is a woman who works at the Co-op who has a Rottweiller that is 'daft as a brush' but the lad is enormous, he's 7 months old and the size of a pit pony already but she and her husband/son take him out similar to how I brought Sabor up, plenty of social interactions.

Do they have a factory shop at their HQ? I can't see anything on the website but it's not too far for me to drive there.

I don’t think so. I think most of their shops are franchises although shops like Clarksons in York stock a lot of their stuff. My suit with Yorkshire agricultural tweed was only available to buy at Clarksons another shop in Ilkley. Most of the current shops weren’t open at that time, I remember emailing Jason the MD to ask why I couldn’t see it on line and he explained it was an exclusive to those 2 shops.
My motive for wanting to buy on line was I had these old discount codes that kept working long after they shouldn’t have.🤣🤣🤣
