I dont think he was a mod at school, he kind of got into it following the 90's Britpop thing. He now says he never actually liked it and it was a character front to deal with the fame and fortune, despite him dressing like it before he was famous.
I've got a few bits from his Fred Perry collaboration - not for his endorsement but I do like the mod influence/cycling crossover they have.

I think Mark Powell was his tailor, at least, in peak times.

I bought these socks today. As soon as I walked in the shop they caught my eye! I have quite a few pairs of Swole Panda Bamboo Socks. They are very comfy, they wash well and cost a reasonable £10 a pair.😉

I recently decided to smarten myself up at work. For years the "uniform" for a technical sales rep has been black jeans, black company polo shirt emblazoned with logos and black jacket. I've always hated it but had to admit it was practical for visiting factories.

However, as the years advance and the belly grows, polo shirts and jeans start to look absurd so I've invested in a blue Harris tweed jacket and waistcoat paired with khaki chinos. Much, much smarter and I've really noticed folk treating me differently. Should have done it years ago.

A good move! Before my dressing smart, not just casual smart days, I just blended in with the crowd. Now that I wear suits, overcoats, fedora hats, shirt and ties, dress shoes etc I get called 'sir' a few times a day, have folk open doors for me and offer to carry my shopping bag to my car etc etc. Mind you, they probably see me as old and decrepit, so it'll probably be more sympathy than respect! 🙄 😉

Heck, 80 quid!😲 OK, It's made by/for Cordings, but it looks a bit crumpled and it probably smells!🙄 The bloke who owns the retro clothing shop I work in says that many charity shops sell stuff at 'rip off' prices. I've sent him the link below, to wind him up!😉

Another rip off price here! £585 for a fedora made out of wool, cotton and viscose!😲 You can get genuine beaver fur hats for that price! To me beaver fur is horrendously sourced, so I wouldn't buy such hats! However it is regarded as the best hat material out there!

I have a friend who’s partner works in a charity shop. She says if the get a branded item such as a pair of Loake shoes they look what price they are being sold on Vinted, eBay or the like and price them the same.
