No it's not sad at all . Dressing up is great fun and the compliments are part of the whole thing.

Exactly! Receiving compliments gives me a bit of a high as it means the one doing the complimenting has noticed and liked what I'm wearing, not noticed my disabilities. Well, they might have noticed them, but they only commented on my clothes and shoes, so that'll do for me!😉

Yet you never post photos or tell us what you wear, or think about buying! Maybe your mocking would be taken a little more seriously, if you were a little more revealing!😏

I have spotted your mistake.
Anyway, as an Irish redhead, just imagine me in green, lots of green, with perhaps a dash of white if I’m dressed up for posh.

Depends what you mean by expensive!

Have a pair of these that are excellent although they need a fair bit of wearing in;

I actually got mine in a charity shop but in reality the quality is probably worth it.

There are other Japanese selvedge Denim brands, selection here;

Bit less expensive;

All the Community Clothing stuff is made in the UK and what we have had so far has been very good.

Good entry level selvedge can be got from Uniqlo - about £40. I've got some and I have no complaints at that price.

Depends what the op wants, of course.

I've just bought the last pair of these. They only had my 34 inch waist size, with one left and at half price to boot, they were too tempting to turn down. They are 'unfinished' as in you have to have them turned up, maybe even cut before, to get your correct inseam.

Nice to see buttons fitted for braces.

I wore the above for the first time yesterday. The tailor shop in Accrington did a good job of shortening both pairs of the trousers I took in, to the correct length. I might need him again as I fancy these. They have a 40 percent discount, which adds to the temptation.🤔

Now those are very nice indeed. Loake's made in England Goodyear-welted shoes are stonking good value for money

They are, but I won't be buying a pair as I've decided that I have more burgundy, or brown brogues than I can remember. Since considering those brogues I linked, my searches in my flat found a similar pair bought must be 6 years ago I'd almost forgotten about. Anyway, as I post I've received a message from DHL couriers telling me that my 'cow hide' loafers are ready to be collected from my local Post Office. I'll post pics of them later today!😉👍

I think they might've sold out in all sizes left as on pressing the link, it leads you to a 'chat with us' page, not the actual item.🤔 Those trousers are approximately 11 ounces per square yard in weight. To me who wears heavy 26 ounce tweed suits and trousers that's lightweight, but Kit Blake advertises them as a 'heavy material' for the autumn and winter. I think being made in Italy, they are designed for their warmer than our's weather, probably seen as too warm for their spring and summers, but over here, to me they are a perfect weight for our none too warm 'warmer months'.

Going into the wardrobe for anything is like hacking through an Amazonian rainforest. You half expect a capuchin monkey’s paw to hand you what you want.
