Don't ask where the fertiliser came from.

In a similar vein Mrs Johnson was asked why President Lyndon Johnson referred to fertiliser as manure. "It's taken me years to get him to call it ''manure' "

Does that say 10.5? I think it does, but on trying the left shoe on it seems a good fit and that's without socks, so with socks they certainly won't feel too big.

The below scuff on the heels stitching is most likely why they are seconds. I'm going to send the photo to my Timpson shoes friend who will tell me if it could get worse or it could easily be covered up. I think a thin coating of

will do the trick, but I'll wait to see what he suggests.

The shoes are definitely genuine Tricker's.Their quite heavy weight, the boxing with those leaflets is high quality, suggesting they are £500 shoes. Are they worth keeping with that scuff mark though? With such a big price reduction I'm definitely going to keep them, if my Timpson's friend says the scuffing isn't a problem.

My Timpson's friend has replied, saying he can 'sort that scuffing with his special red cream'!

Adding that the red restoration polish will be too 'heavy' on suede and will be slightly noticeable. He also suggested that the 10.5 marking in the shoes is probably incorrect, therefore another reason why they are seconds, saying they fit me well because they are most likely to be a size 10, not a size 10.5.

I wouldn’t have bothered as by the next time you get to wear them given your stock of shoes. You will either be dead or can’t remember how to put your shoes on your own.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You do know in the not too distant future you will feature on a program about hoarders. But they won’t be burying in to old newspapers and takeaway boxes. It will be brand new and unworn tweed suits.😉

No, all my suits get rotated in wear, so therefore worn quite often. The only suit I haven't worn since last year is my navy blue Cordings linen one that I wish I hadn't bought. It was ok at first, but when it wrinkled as linen is supposed to do, it to me looked a bit scruffy. It looks ok(ish) when looking at it in a mirror, but looking down as I wear it, it looks faded and scruffy, meaning I'm not happy when wearing it! Autumn isn't too far away, so at least I'll be able to wear my tweed suits again!🧐

How many do you have I would guesstimate in the 30’s So they only get worn once a month.

These are the shoes I've bought this year, but technically one pair is from last year as although they arrived just after new year's day, they were ordered and paid for a few days after Christmas Day.😉

Suit wise, no not 30. I have 9 suits and about 6 tweed sports jackets and wool blazers, worn quite often and a few more tweed sports jackets 'in reserve'.

Ah, just remembered, I also have three tweed field sports coats! Plus about 8 overcoats.....and 2 duffel costs....and one raincoat/mac. Though I suspect there are items I've forgotten I have.😉
