One thing that grinds my gears is men wearing suits with no ties. When we moved house I refused to deal with one young Herbert at the estate agents because he wasnt wearing a tie - if he wanted to be serious about doing business on my behalf he should at least make an effort to look like he meant business. The branch's business manager eased me away from the young spottiebum before he started crying and dealt with me himself.

Its nothing more than a slow erosion of standards.

I usually wear a suit without a tie. This is not an erosion of standards more an erosion of my shoulders meaning I struggle to fasten my top shirt button and I can’t reach behind my neck to sort out my collar.😎
