Yes somewhat surprising to me I managed to get out on the first of each month so far. Very lucky with the weather given what others have encountered this year so far.

Me too. I've had two slightly chilly, slightly damp rides. Nothing really wintery, just slightly grotty.

It did rain heavily enough for a while on Sunday to give my Garmin 1040 an attack of the funnies. Water blocks the barometer port and the altimeter goes wonky. I was struggling up one of the steeper bits (about 12-14% maybe) and I looked at the Garmin and it said -2%. I think the silicone case exacerbates the problem. I stopped at the top of the hill and took the case off and dried the gps. At that point there's a spike where the elevation on the track suddenly catches up with reality.
