This is coming up in August; https://www.yorkshirewartime.co.uk/

I'm told by a couple of attendees (one is a WW2 re-enactor) that it's possibly second only to 'War & Peace'!
Sadly, I'm always working, & not able to get a day off, I'll be trying again this year!!

For anyone interested, it's not that far (couple of miles, or so) from jct 26/M62 (the M606 interchange)

EDIT; Sunday 9th @ 10:59
I have the day booked off, in order to attend now ^_^

A fellow ex squaddie, albeit somewhat older than me, also speaks passable German as a result of his year on the BAOR.

At a recent re-enactment in Milton Keynes he was most dismayed to fund not one of the hun re-enactors spoke any German themselves!

Did anyone see that scwimmwagen on Combat Dealers recently. It had a fascinating history. It was abandoned in Italy and local monks took it and used is for running around well into the 1980s.

Just passed a Sherman Tank, on a low-loader, between jcts 30 & 31 (westbound) on the M62

It’s got to be going to the Yorkshire Wartime Experience’ that l referred a couple of posts above!!

Or it's been bought by a Ukrainian

It’s astounding the amount of vehicles that have been spotted on the A1(M) Various AFV’s including a lot of the Mastiff vehicles, no prizes for guessing where they were going

Offloading UOR purchases. We're becoming a shopfront window army massively.
