That's a damn fine new price for such a brilliant bike.

Fingers crossed it's actually in stock and I'll receive it! Serendipitous as I've been searching in case a white-labelled version exists in the UK. Electric folding bikes look to have a similar frame.

There's a Polygon Urbano dealer in Malaysia (where I'm originally from). The Urbano 5 sells for £380 there. No international shipping but I could see how much it costs for a container-load of these...? Might end up to be £700 each as I don't have Halfords' economies of scale. The equivalent spec Tern retails for £1000.

I had my eye on that Intercity Disc 9 in Weston-Super-Mare but someone bought it before I could negotiate collection. Anyway, it seems I have nabbed the LAST Intercity Disc 9 restocked in Halfords. My order went through before it went OOS. https://www.halfords.com/bikes/folding-bikes/carrera-intercity-disc-9-speed-folding-bike-536878.html

I've collected my Carrera Intercity Disc 9 today from Halfords and ridden it back. The ride isn't harsh at all despite being aluminium and small-wheeled.

I'm a Brompton fan. It's too much of a hassle to wheel my Brompton indoors from home and destination as it adds 5 mins to the journey time. I've a 2016 M6R with a 40T chairing (-20% gearing) fitted. The ID9 gears feel low but it's the same gear range as my Brompton with reduced gearing so it's ideal for hilly Bristol.

The ID9 is to be kept locked in my building's insecure bike storage. The proprietary parts work in my favour as I won't be susceptible to part theft. I'm getting this TWTOPSE universal Brompton luggage block mount to use my Brompton basket with it.
