The pleasures of vinyl...

Only down side to vinyl is the 20 (or so) mins a side. You had to get out of bed to turn the record over too frequently not good when you were a teenager in bed with a girl.

That's what Tapes were invented for.

Mine cost £445 back in the eighties with a Basik arm and A&R P77 cartridge.

Still going with a Hercules power supply,Roksan Nima arm and Ortofon Kontrapunkt b cart.

Ah yes £386 including basic arm and cartridge (1982).

Now running with an Origin Live silver and dynavector, and full inspire vivid upgrade

Thanks for that - I went over that part of the record with a vacuum cleaner pipe and it's playing OK now.

Problem I had was working about 5 minutes away from a Linn/Naim dealer who used to let me listen to stuff (I couldn't afford)on my Lunch hour.

Never got on with Naim but then I owned a QUAD 33/ 303, since changed to a 44 and two 303s.

Aye, got that! Also tried whacking on the Dark Side of the Moon record whilst watching the Wizard of Oz on DVD with the volume off... it does sync a bit and is totally freaky :-)

Anything by Booker T & the MGS seems to sync with vintage porn
