I wouldn't exactly say that he's been phoning it in since COVID but he's another rider for whom the pandemic was a career inflection point.

Comes across as knowledgeable and articulate so he'll definitely have a career in cycling beyond riding if he wants it.

Even on a choppy day the parcours is way too flat for him; will probably end up swallowing more seawater than pride. Time to hang up the propeller, Chris.
